I did my first "real" shoot last weekend, a maternity shoot with a firend of mine, her daughter and her husband. I am pretty happy with the results, though I took about 200 photos and now I have to proof them! I have done a few that you see here. I hope you enjoy them!

Here are a few of my favorite photos so far, there are about a million more, but I'll only post a few of them- to save everyone from a multitude of pictures of my kids.

The business I am starting is on location photography of families, children, babies and maternity. I am still working out the details of it all, and will be doing some sessions with my karate instructor to create a publicity photo for him, but mostly it will be children and families. Hey, I take what ever work comes my way to build my portfolio and gain experience.

So this is my first post, ever, on a blog. I'll start by introducing myself- a little anyway. Hi, I'm Brigit. I'm here because I'm going to be starting a photography business and I wanted to get myself out there a bit. I have 2 kids, a husband and a dog. When I'm not cleaning house, feeding kids, bathing kids, making dinner, or doing laundry (really when am I ever not doing laundry?) I am usually behind my camera. Occasionally I am on my computer editing photos, or on a forum for photographers... but that's after the kids are in bed. I've been into photography forever, since High School at least, but it's taken me a while to decide that I can do it professionally. I have plenty of doubt and aprehension about it all, but every once in a while I realize that it's possible. This blog will mostly be about my journey as a photographer, but occasionally I'll probably mention my home life. You can never truely escape it, now can you?
